London Theatre Review: The Girl On The Train at the Duke of Yorks Theatre
There’s a neologism – 'sonder' – used to describe the realisation that the people around you contain worlds of equal depth and complexity as your own. It's an idea that leads Rachel Watson to immerse herself in the life of Megan Hipwell. Sitting on her train, Rachel sips vodka from a water bottle and watches the many worlds and permutations of life passing her by. She longs for another existence – anything to escape the cold reality of a broken marriage and a dingy apartment orbited by satellites of alcohol. Until, finally, her daily ‘commute’ delivers her the ideal couple, standing on their pristine balcony in a globe of impeccable taste and perfect choices...

Top 10 unmissable London plays in 2019
The year is already halfway over... or just halfway getting started depending on how you look at it. For optimistic London theatregoers, it's certainly the latter. It seems like every year London gets a new theatre or two. This year brought both The Turbine Theatre in Battersea Power Station and the new Troubadour White City Theatre in West London, and with them a whole host of new plays and productions. It's clear the West End, and the UK's live entertainment industry in general, is as busy and booming as ever. That being said, with so many spectacular productions to choose from, it can be difficult to make a decision on which shows to spend your hard-earned cash on. But maybe you should let these discounted theatre tickets sway you.
Here are our picks for the hottest London plays this year that you definitely won't want to miss — and that happen to be on special offer if you hurry and book today!
