Following a wildly succesful run at the Chichester Festival Theatre, The Pajama Game transfers to the Shaftesbury Theatre for a strictly limited run from with two-time Olivier winner Joanna Riding and Olivier nominee Michael Xavier. The show is directed by five-time Olivier winner Sir Richard Eyre.
Peter Polycarpou and Colin Stinton will reprise their roles as Vernon Hines and Hasler, with Gary Wilmot taking over the role of Vernon Hines from 2nd June
With a score by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross and book by George Abbott and Richard Bissell, The Pajama Game deals with labour troubles in a pajama factory where workers' demands for a seven-and-a-half cents raise are ignored. Love soon blossoms however between Babe (Riding), the grievance committee head, and Sid (Xavier), the new factory superintendent.

Chichester’s The Pajama Game confirms West End transfer to the Shaftesbury Theatre
It has been confirmed that Chichester Festival Theatre's critically acclaimed production of The Pajama Game will transfer to the West End’s Shaftesbury Theatre next year. The Pajama Game will begin performances from 1st May 2014 ahead of an official opening night on 13th May. Directed by Richard Eyre, the production will run for a limited West End season until 13th September 2014.
